In addition to developing their business, Monica and Michael are active in the community, involved with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund, and the annual Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk. The Komen Foundation is a recognized leader in patient advocacy, funding for research and education in the fight to eradicate Breast Cancer. 2010 represents each of our 9th and 10th Walks, participating in Chicago and Denver, once again.
The involvement is personal, and is in honor of Monica's grandmother, Dora Gerlach, who this year is age 95 and a 36 year survivor of breast cancer. Her strength, grace, and pride in her family allows us to keep her as a focus of our efforts.
A Table for Two is proud to donate 10% of all proceeds to this very important organization.
To date, A Table for Two has donated over $25000 of goods, services, and monies to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and various other community projects.

About Monica and Michael Langowski
Chef Monica had been interested in the culinary field for most of her life. She is a self-taught chef, and is constantly learning.
Monica pursued a career in the hotel industry, working in major markets around the country - yet never felt truly satisfied in that line of work. Monica started her own personal chef and private catering service in Michigan. Her attention to detail, in planning and event execution laid the groundwork for a very successful client base. When relocated to Miami Florida, Monica again made her personal chef and private catering service flourish with a veritable Who's Who of Miami's elite clientele.
Monica and her husband Michael - A Table for Two's private maitre'd and wine steward- have made Chicago their home, and have also made their mark as a private chef service. Michael had been in a unique sector of public service, the Federal Justice Department, for his career, and has successfully transitioned into hospitality for the last six years, since the couple's marriage. As husband and wife, best friends and business partners, Michael and Monica strive for perfection, from menu planning to event execution. Their 20 years of combined experience in the hospitality industry is evident.
Attention to detail, gracious service elegant entertaining, and unparalleled food are the couple's hallmarks, since A Table for Two's inception in 2004.
Both Michael and Monica are ordained ministers, and offer their unique services to couples that are looking for something a bit unconventional. Call them "Ministering for a Mission", all fees for their services are donated to Breast Cancer 3 Day event.
